Its characteristics make it an excellent choice particularly for underwater blasting and channelling applications and for use as a base charge in open-cut mining. Due to their high detonation velocity, Fordyn P cartridges can be used as boosters for bulk explosives, such as ANFOs and emulsions (Kemiitti).
